Waterproof Poncho - For Those Rainy Days

Looking for a good waterproof poncho to keep you dry during torrential downpours?  If you happen to live somewhere where it rains a lot like the UK or British Columbia, then chances are you have all matter of rain gear on hand should the situation arise where you need to get somewhere without arriving drenched in rain water.

There are several things you can use to deal with the rain, galoshes, umbrellas and of course the waterproof poncho.  If you’re looking for a good waterproof poncho that will fit and shield you from the rain and you’re not sure where to get one though, here are some reviews of some of the better ones that are available right now:

Here’s a yellow poncho which is designed in an extra large size.  You can get it for $10.01, the large is $9.94 and the medium is $18.40.

These are designed to fit over your clothing and they have a double fly snap and drawstring hood, they are also made of heavyweight PVC(.35mm).

This is a great yellow rainslicker that will keep you dry from head to toe, although if you’re getting the medium, you may feel it is overpriced, they seem to price the ones in most demand higher.  This was rated 4/5 stars by the way on Amazon by 3 customers.

2.  Stearns .15mm Men's Rainjammer PVC Suit

Here’s another one to consider on Amazon, this is rated 3.5/5 stars by 5 customers.  It also ranges in price from $8.39 - $14.99 depending on the size.  It is made from 100% waterproof lightweight and durable PVC, has a zipper at the front, a storm flap, large front pockets at the front, an adjustable hood with a bill and vented cape back and pants with an elastic waist and snap adjustable leg openings.

If you’re looking for a high quality but low cost rain suit, you might want to go with this one over the previous one, although you’re really not saving TOO much money.  This one is very thin also in comparison to the previous, it is ½ the thickness, so if you want something that isn’t bulky you’ll like this; the fact that this comes with pants is also a plus.

3.  Stearns .30mm Rainjammer RainSuit

Now if you want a thicker water proof poncho by Stearns, here it is, at a price point of $20.47 - $21.99, this one is rated 3.5/5 stars by 11 customers.

It’s made of .30mm PVC/polyester, high wear areas such as the knees and elbows are enforced further, it has the snap front, corduroy line collar, vented back, underarm air vents, 2 pockets and pants with an elastic waist.

This is nice and light and has plenty of ventilation.  It’s also comfortable and has plenty of pocket room.
